As a photographer, having a skilled and reliable assistant by your side can make all the difference in your workflow and final product. Whether you are shooting weddings, portraits, or commercial projects, an assistant photographer can help you capture more angles, manage equipment, and relieve some of the stress and workload of a shoot.
I have worked as both the first shooter and assitant shooter on many occasions, and I can safely say that having that extra pair of eyes and hands can end up being pricelss in a range of circumstances, especially during the wedding ceremony when you only have one change to get the first kiss!
In this blog post, I will share tips and tricks on how to work effectively with assistant photographers.
• Clearly Define Roles and Responsibilities: Before the shoot, make sure to have a clear understanding of the tasks and responsibilities assigned to each person.
